Accessibility Statement

Last updated 26 June 2026

AvLink is built to be usable by as many pilots and operators as possible, whatever device or assistive technology you use. Accessibility isn't a one-off task for us — it's part of how we design and ship every page.

Our commitment

We want everyone to be able to find work, build a profile and post roles on AvLink — including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, voice control, or who need reduced motion or higher contrast.

We treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility. As we add features we test them for accessibility, and we welcome feedback that helps us do better.

Standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA — the standard most widely referenced by accessibility law, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the European Accessibility Act, and equivalent legislation elsewhere.

Our public pages are tested with automated accessibility tooling (axe-core) and currently pass with no detected violations. Automated testing can't catch everything, so we also review by hand as we build.

What we've done

  • Keyboard access — every interactive control can be reached and operated with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline and a "skip to content" link at the top of each page.
  • Screen readers — pages use proper headings and landmark regions, form fields and filters have descriptive labels, and meaningful images have text alternatives.
  • Colour & contrast — text and interactive elements are tuned to meet the WCAG AA contrast ratios, including a dedicated accent colour for text on light backgrounds, plus a full dark mode.
  • Reduced motion — if your device is set to reduce motion, we honour it and switch off non-essential animation.
  • Clear structure — job listings, pricing and forms use a logical heading order and avoid nesting interactive elements in ways that confuse assistive technology.

Known limitations

We're honest about where we're still improving. Some areas we're aware of:

  • Some job listings come from third-party partner networks. We control how they're presented on AvLink, but we can't change the content of the original posting once you follow a link to the source site.
  • We haven't yet completed an independent, third-party accessibility audit. We test thoroughly ourselves, but an external review is on our roadmap.
  • If you find anything that's hard to use, please tell us (below) — real feedback is the fastest way for us to fix the things automated tools miss.

Compatibility

AvLink is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge) on desktop and mobile, together with their built-in assistive technologies such as VoiceOver, TalkBack and the browsers' own zoom and contrast tools. It should also work with common screen readers including NVDA and JAWS. We can't guarantee behaviour on very old or unsupported browsers.

Get in touch

If you run into an accessibility barrier, or you need information from AvLink in a different format, please contact us and tell us the page and what happened. We aim to respond within a few working days and will work with you to provide what you need.
